These canals lead out to Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. Most residents live on waterfront property with their boat docked out back ready to take them into some of the most beautiful waterways in Florida.

Non-waterfront homeowners walk out their back door to St. Andrews golf course. Whether you have your boat or your favorite green in your backyard, life is good in PGI.

Canals and seawalls are cared for by the city of Punta Gorda’s Canal Maintenance program. Home pricing varies in Punta Gorda Isles due to many factors, such as the home’s age, time to the Harbor, view, and seawall size. From 1,800 sq ft. bungalows to 4,000+ sq ft. double-lot homes, PGI presents an array of choices for the homebuyer.

The PGI community dates back to 1957. Developed in sections, the newest area opened in 1981. Vacant lots remain available throughout all sections of PGI. All vacant land is privately owned and sold.

Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association (PGICA): With over 20 social clubs and a host of community activities, the PGICA is an invaluable resource for PGI residence looking to meet new people and get involved.

St. Andrews South Golf Club: This 18 hole, par 71 golf course provides a challenge for golfers of all handicaps. St. Andrews South has 15 lakes and 48 sand bunkers that make every round interesting. In 1981, Ron Garl, a prominent Florida course architect, designed the 6103-yard course. St. Andrews South is a private club owned by its members. It purposely keeps its membership at fewer than 300, lower than any other club in southwest Florida, to ensure there are always tee times available.
